Records like C'est La Vie are exactly why Insubordination Records exists. When we started this label, we wanted to release a broad spectrum of recordings ranging from punk, pop, rock, and power-pop. The common thread has been simply pop. I know when the word pop is thrown around you immediately think of Top-40 crap that is absolutely devoid of soul. Imagine if you could program your own Top-40 station? Would it be awesome? Think about the music that you love. Now, if we were programming this station Radio Days C'est La Vie would be on constant rotation along with Kurt Baker, Paul Collins Beat, Fountains of Wayne, and Eugene Edwards.
Now don't roll your eyes. We don't lavish praise without reason. We exist as a label to bring you records that we like; we know that it takes a great leap of faith to spend ten-bucks on an album based our personal tastes. In this, I want you think of Radio Days as all that is good about a modern power-pop band: four friends putting out catchy music with honest-to-goodness hooks. This is music with ethos! Italian ethos! Radio Days are the Italian conspirators of a growing world-wide power-pop movement.
